Become a Trustee

We need you to join the fight to make sure there is No Life Half Lived in Scotland.

One in five people in Scotland are living with a chest, heart or stroke condition. Too many are fighting alone and scared about the future. We won’t live with that.

In becoming a Trustee you would be leading our efforts to help people live life to the full and ensure there’s no life half lived in Scotland.

The last year has been difficult for everyone, and people with chest, heart and stroke conditions need our support more than ever. Our network of stroke nurses, community support workers, peer support and kindness volunteers have been a lifeline for people during the pandemic – and will continue to be.

COVID-19 has also tested our No Life Half Lived strategy and found it solid. Your role as a member of the Board will be to support and scrutinise the continued delivery of that strategy.

We are recruiting up to four positions and would particularly like to hear from people with one or more of the following areas of knowledge, skills & experience:

  • Lived experience of our conditions, particularly chest or heart conditions
  • Finance
  • Qualified accountancy
  • Retail
  • Clinical practice and medical research
  • Governance and audit
  • Fundraising
