“After my very first call, I felt so much better about myself”
Debbie from Perthshire had a stroke just after her 40th birthday and called our Advice Line for support.
Despite having her wonderful, supportive family around her, Debbie couldn’t help but feel isolated. She desperately wanted to talk to someone who understood what she was going through.
“After my very first call, I felt so much better about myself. It really was a lifeline for me and I know they’ve helped so many others through dark times,” says Debbie.
“The nurses are absolutely worth their weight in gold – I don’t know what I would’ve done without their help and their friendship. I would’ve been lost without them.”
