After the shock of the actual heart attack and the initial recovery you may wonder 'what happens now'? Now is the time to start rebuilding your life – to start enjoying everyday activities once more and get back to your day to day routines.

Hopefully you are starting to make positive changes to your lifestyle which will reduce the risk of another heart attack and / or further heart disease. Yet it is likely you may still have questions about what you can do and the impact that having a heart attack may have on your day to day life.

Reducing your risk of heart disease

You can help yourself by making changes to your life in areas that are known to increase the risk of developing or worsening coronary heart disease. Many of these are so-called lifestyle changes and include:
