Inhalers allow medicine to be delivered directly to your lungs, getting the greatest effect with the least side effects.
Inhaler devices come in many different shapes and sizes. Different devices will suit different people and it is important that you can use your inhaler properly to get the most benefit from it.
Your nurse, doctor or pharmacist should show you how to use your inhaler and make sure that you can use it properly, even when you are feeling breathless. If you find your inhaler difficult to use or you feel it is not working, tell your doctor or nurse. They will help you find a device that is suitable for you.
